A huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped us with our Casino on September 1st and 2nd. It was a great success, and we added over $70,000.00 to the pool fund. A special thank you to Kyle Greggain, Eric Christensen, Colin Christensen, and Joey Wood who worked the night shift in the cash cage. These 4 crazy boys kept the bankers, cage advisors, and myself laughing until we hurt! Some of the conversations taking place even had customers hanging around to listen and have a laugh.
Once again, we were given an amazing compliment from Deerfoot Casino on our great volunteers. They were impressed with how well we all worked together to make it a successful event.
We are very fortunate in Calgary to have a great core of regular volunteers who are always there when we need them, and this casino also brought us some new volunteers. It is always great to have new faces help us, and we always need to see more at our events.
In the new 2016 and 2017 season, we will be hosting the 2017 POA Provincials on January 14th and 15th, and the POA Nationals from April 26th through April 30th. If you can help us in any way with these events, please contact me and I will add you to our list. We will be looking for volunteers to help in many areas, so please don’t think that there is nothing that you could do to help. I love seeing new faces!!!
