History
The Pins Over Average (POA) Challenge is a relatively new event in the 5 pin bowling community; also known nationally as the Interprovincial Challenge, the POA Challenge is a unique event that since 2008 has allowed adult bowlers of all skill levels the opportunity to qualify for a national championship. Each fall, the Calgary 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association hosts the POA Challenge Zone Championships, a 5 game, pins-over-average tournament that qualifies 4 men and 4 women to teams that advance to the Provincial Championships.
