History

First established in 1958, the Youth Challenge is among the most prestigious annual events for youth bowlers aged 13-18 and consists of zone, provincial and national championships. The Calgary 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association hosts the annual Zone Championships and advances the top 30 bowlers, 2 alternates and 6 coaches to the annual Provincial Championships. The Youth Challenge Zone Championships are an 8 game tournament over 2 days at the end of November and has a scratch, total pin-fall format.
