History
Created in 2024, the Calgary Youth Bowling Series Youth-Pro Invitational Tournament builds connections between the Calgary Zone’s youth bowlers and introduces the youth bowlers to pro-level bowlers within the Calgary Zone. The intent of this tournament is to foster comfort within the youth bowlers as they progress beyond their youth programs, ultimately encouraging the youth bowlers to continue bowling after the conclusion of their youth programs. While competitive play is encouraged, the over-arching goal is to develop a sense of community amongst the bowlers.
Teams consist of two youth bowlers, one scratch and one pins-over-average, and one pro-level bowler. Youth bowlers earn their chance to participate based on the aggregate standings of the current season Youth Bowling Series. The Calgary zone pro-level players earn their chance top participate based on select qualifying positions at the current season Calgary Zone Open Trials, or through an invite from the tournament committee.
