History

Previously a national championship event, the Hi-Lo Doubles has been a continued success in Alberta due to high participation rates and exceptional popularity. In Calgary, bowlers are paired in league (high average bowler with low average bowler) and qualify in-house for a 4 game, pins-over-average Zone Championship. The top 12 doubles teams advanced to the Provincial Championships. At each level of competition teams play for prestige and cash prizes.

In 2022, the Provincial Event was discontinued by A5. At that time, Calgary 5 decided to continue this popular event at the zone level and has provided considerable funds to the prize fund.
