New Event for 2025-26 Season

After many seasons, we are announcing the retirement of the High-Low Doubles tournament. In its place, we are pleased to announce a new tournament for our adult Calgary Zone bowlers – the Calgary Duo Showdown!!!

What is the Duo Showdown?
This new tournament focuses on fun and participation, while encouraging bowlers to return next season. Bowlers will get to know their fellow league bowlers better as they create a pairing with a bowler from the same league.

Eligibility?

Open to all Calgary Zone members eighteen (18) years of age and older as of Dec 31 of the current bowling season. All bowlers must possess an Alberta 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association membership.

What is the format?
This tournament will feature a brand-new format designed to keep teams interested as they bowl. The tournament is a 4 game pins over average event, but in a unique twist, only the best 3 out of 4 games will count towards the results.

In each shift, teams (pairing) will be divided into smaller divisions by random draw, with a maximum of 8 teams per division. The top 3 teams in each division will be awarded free lineage certificates for next season, with the 1st place team in each division winning 8 free weeks of lineage! (3 games per week, lineage portion only).
