Thank you to the North Zone and HJ’s Bowling Lanes for hosting this event on January 10-11, 2026. Each zone provided 3 teams, and a new tournament format was developed using 3 pods (double round robin) then 6 teams in playoffs (single round robin). This gave 8 games to each team and another 5 if they made the playoffs. Only 1 error found in the lane draw (last game Day 1) North 2 on Lanes 11 & 12 in consecutive games. Teams were successfully moved to another set of lanes.
Calgary Zone was well represented. Thank you to Stuart Ross for travelling up to cheer us on and get a feel for the event.
Calgary ‘1’ placed first in their pod (36 points) and advanced to the playoffs. Unfortunately, they did not advance to Nationals. Calgary ‘2’ finished only 7.5 points from the playoffs. Calgary ‘3’ had a tough series and was unable to get out of the bottom of their pod.
Maryann Holt placed 4th in Ladies POA (+88) and Robert Czuczwara placed 5th in Mens POA (+81).
